AMAR BUILDS AND REFURBISHES FACILITIES TO PROVIDE VITAL SERVICES FOR REFUGEES AND INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS.
Humanitarian crises are rarely short-lived, often continuing for many years. However, humanitarian aid budgets of large organisations are often explicitly tied to an annual funding round leading to short term objectives and artificial deadlines coinciding with the end of the financial year.
AMAR takes a longer term view based on an assessment for recovery from each individual crisis. Where this recovery is not measured in days and weeks, but months and years, AMAR refurbishes and builds facilities to enable the provision of vital services for the affected population such as health and education. This is accomplished using locally-sourced materials and workforce in order to help rebuild the local economy and livelihoods of local families.
