Primary Healthcare Facilities

AMAR DELIVERS PRIMARY HEALTHCARE IN LINE WITH WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION STANDARDS TO UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS ACROSS THE MIDDLE EAST, ENSURING SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL.

Primary Healthcare is the single most important factor in ensuring the good health of any population, a fact the World Health Organisation has been promoting since the late 1970s. Yet the majority of authorities around the world still incorrectly view tertiary level hospitals as the central factor governing high levels of population health. The result is an extremely expensive hospital-based health service which does not address the needs of the population it serves.

AMAR promotes Primary Healthcare within local communities by building and rehabilitating Primary Healthcare Centres to raise standards, increase the range and availability of services, develop professional skills and knowledge, and enhance community understanding of the centrality of Primary Healthcare. AMAR enhances levels of health through provision of professional and management training, creation and implementation of community outreach services and education, creation of specialist units to target at risk population groups such as mothers and children, mobile services to reach the remotest communities and also specialist services such as x-ray facilities and TB clinics. As such the Primary Healthcare Centres become a hub to drive forward improvements in the health and wellbeing of the community.

This is always achieved in partnership with state healthcare providers to ensure no duplicate systems are created and the legacy of investments endures in a sustainable manner.
