Professional Training

AMAR RUNS EXTENSIVE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND MANAGERS IN ORDER TO BUILD LOCAL CAPACITY FOR THE BEST POSSIBLE LONG-TERM OUTCOME.

As a core component of our capacity building approach, AMAR provides on-going and regular professional skills development for state-employed medical professionals, government officials, healthcare managers and AMAR’s own staff and volunteers. AMAR uses its strong and well-established links with local universities, alongside international knowledge and best practice to deliver high quality training to enhance the capacity of local and regional primary care services.

The focus on staff skills ensures long-term sustainability for the primary healthcare providers even after specific project funding ceases – services are better managed, better run, more effectively targeted and more appropriately delivered. In this manner, AMAR is able to hand over primary healthcare services successfully to the state sector once the required quality line has been reached and funding ceases.
