Drugs Awareness
AMAR RUNS NATIONAL CAMPAIGNS TO EDUCATE CHILDREN ON THE DANGERS OF DRUGS AND ALCOHOL.
Without recognising it is happening, drugs can become central to a person’s life and affect their ability to study and work, their physical and mental health, personal relationships and quality of life. AMAR runs national level campaigns in schools to raise awareness of the problems associated with drug use, and provides help and support to children who may be at risk with the aim of reducing the motivation of children and young adults to use drugs. The anti-drugs campaign also involves parents in order that they are better able to identify symptoms of addiction, how to approach this topic with children and what to do if they suspect a child is at risk.
