Financial Resources

EVERY YEAR WE ARE DETERMINED TO ENSURE AS MUCH OF OUR FUNDING AS POSSIBLE IS SPENT WHERE IT IS NEEDED MOST – ON THE MANY HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS WHO DEPEND ON US. THAT IS WHY WE CONSISTENTLY DONATE MORE THAN 90% OF OUR ANNUAL BUDGET TO PROGRAMS.

Dear Friends of AMAR,

In 2016, our teams were not only developing, building, running and improving our often unique and ground-breaking programs in health, education and training, but also playing a vital part in the emergency relief efforts to support Iraq’s 3.3 million internally displaced people (IDPs). That’s more than one tenth of the entire population forced to live as refugees in their own country. Just imagine an equivalent crisis in the U.S. or U.K. It would mean 6 million Britons displaced or 32.5 million Americans. It would be almost impossible for even these wealthy countries to cope with a crisis on such a scale.

We are pleased to say—without a doubt—that our programmatic achievements reached greater heights in 2016-17 than ever before. In the last year, we delivered critical health care, education and emergency aid to more people than at any time in our history. And it’s all thanks to the hard work of our staff, the collaborative efforts of our international partners, the many service hours put in by our volunteers and the generosity of our donors.

We’ve included a full list of financial resources for your review and download. We pride ourselves on our transparency and accountability, and strive to maximize the impact of every dollar donated. Please visit our AMAR London page for more information about AMAR ICF finances.

With Gratitude,

The AMAR U.S. Team
